Satun, Malaysia announce anti-corruption cooperation

SATUN(NNT) - Satun Vice Governor Sakda Witthayasirikul has presided over the unveiling ceremony of the Bersama Memerangi Radish Anti-Corruption Together campaign, at Wang Prachan border crossing, Khuan Don district, Satun province.


The ceremony was attended by Perlis State Secretary Azman Mohd Yusof, the director of the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s provincial office in Satun Pon Sarattho, and executives of government agencies and the anti-corruption network.


Participants attending the occasion crossed their hands in front of themselves, with their right hands over their left hands, signifying their opposition to corruption.


The campaign is run by the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission’s provincial office in Satun, and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, to promote anti-corruption cooperation between Satun province and Perlis state of Malaysia. The cross border campaign is part of a larger campaign between Songkhla, Satun, Yala, and Narathiwat provinces in Thailand, and Perlis, Kedah, Perak, and Kelantan states in Malaysia, with a common goal of enhancing anti-corruption cooperation between the two countries.
