Many people spend National Father’s Day at Sanam Luang

BANGKOK(NNT) - Many people have attended National Father’s Day 2019 at Sanam Luang, taking pictures of flower gardens and viewing exhibitions.

The event features flower gardens decorated with multi-colored lights and fountains as well as sculptures of significant royal barges and the Four Keepers of the World, creating many highlights for people taking pictures of their day in the extensive parade ground on Father’s Day .

Public institutions and members of the private sector have organized activities and arranged exhibitions in commemoration of the late King Rama IX. Souvenirs are being handed to the numerous attendees, such as King Power work-out balls for children. A total of 500 balls are being provided daily until December 14.

Many people joined in activities and vocational training such as the making of fragrant candles demonstrated by Samut Songkhram Polytechnic College. Off-cut materials can be used to decorate fragrant candles. They can be used as a supplementary vocation to raise household income. Fragrant candles are also popular as New Year’s presents.

Corporate Social Responsibility activities have been organized by members of the public and private sectors including an exhibition entitled Model Community for Good Deeds - Father’s Thai Style, with sales booths for food and various public services.

The event continues until December 14, from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. at Sanam Luang grounds in Bangkok.
