New normal fair held in Sanam Luang to celebrate HM King’s 68th birthday

BANGKOK (NNT) - Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, has presided over the opening of an event to promote the new normal lifestyle on the occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s 68th birthday today, July 28.

The event is taking place at Sanam Luang, Bangkok, from today until July 31, 2020, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The event features exhibitions honoring His Majesty the King and outlining His Majesty’s work in agriculture, public health and the environment for the happiness of the people. The event also offers information on career support for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is being hosted by over 20 ministries and 10 private companies.

Gen. Prayut, accompanied by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President of the Supreme Court, cooked dishes, such as chicken and sausages in basil and pad Thai for distribution to visitors at a tent dubbed the "Cabinet Kitchen". The officials then visited booths being hosted by various agencies.

The new normal celebration has also organized seven activities, including community management, farming, the environment, career training, health and hygiene, cooking and mask-making, with career training ranging from electrical appliance repair to food processing. Visitors can also receive free haircuts, agricultural seeds and other useful services.
