BANGKOK (NNT) - Mr. Parinya Yamasamit, Governor of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA), says that the MWA and the RID are conducting the 5th “Water Hammer” operation to push salt water out of inland rivers from February 21-24, 2020.

During the operation, the MWA halt the pumping of raw water from the river for two hours when the RID increases the water discharge from the Phraram 6 Dam and open Khlong Lat Pho sluice gates during low tide.

The 4th operation, from February 7-10, 2020, successfully pushed sea water from the Samlae tap water production facility in Pathumthani by over 11 kilometers, he said.

The public is asked to reserve water that meets the standard for consumption and use water sparingly. In cases of emergency, please call MWA hotline 1125 around the clock or contact the MWA on the application MWA onMobile or Line @: @ MWAthailand.
