BANGKOK (NNT) - Many officials and volunteers have lent a hand in the evacuation of Thai nationals from Wuhan, China, as well as the 14-day quarantine of the evacuees at Sattahip Naval Base. These noble contributions deserve our praise and gratitude.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today held an honorable brooches and certificates-giving ceremony for 14 persons involved in the rescue mission of Thai nationals from Wuhan and Hubei province in China, as a token of appreciation for their devotion and sacrifice.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai thanked all persons involved in the operation, where the safety of both the people and staff has been the top priority.

He said the success of the operation is a clear example of good cooperation between the government and the private sector, as well as cooperation with China to take care of the people from both countries in this difficult time.

He then thanked Thai people who have expressed their love and support, as well as sending necessary items for Thai people in China and the Chinese people. He also promised to continue doing his best to take care of Thai people in China and elsewhere in the world.
