SAMUT SONGKHRAM (NNT) - Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn has opened the Chalerm Phra Kiat ceremony on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of King Rama II
Her Royal Highness visited Amphawan temple in Amphawa district of Samut Songkhram province and paid homage to a statue of King Rama II.
Her Royal Highness went to King Rama II Memorial Park and presided over the Chalerm Phra Kiat ceremony on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of King Rama II 2020, organized by the King Rama II Foundation and various agencies.
The event was held in celebration of national cultural heritage endowed by the ingenious and talented King Rama II as well as restorations of culture, traditions and literary work such as Kraithong and Sangthong during the reign of King Rama II.
UNESCO has upheld King Rama II as one of the world’s important persons in literature.
