BANGKOK (NNT) - The National Security Council (NSC) is closely monitoring conflicts between different countries, particularly tensions between the United States and Iran, and has prepared measures to deal with foreign criminal suspects entering Thailand, as well as cyberattacks.

The NSC meeting, chaired by Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, discussed conflicts between different countries, particularly tensions between the US and Iran. The council believes that the situation won’t escalate further, but has prepared measures to ensure the safety of Thai people in the Middle East and to deal with foreign suspects entering Thailand.

The Prime Minister said the government’s national security policy and plan between 2019 and 2022 will be used as guidelines for protecting the country from security threats. They will be implemented under the security strategy. Security information will be integrated in the first phase to help related agencies share consistent and up-to-date information. This will support their decision-making.
