SARABURI (NNT) - Their Majesties the King and Queen viewed a parade of military and police troops showing allegiances on occasion of the coronation ceremony 2019 and the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day.

Their Majesties the King and Queen yesterday visited Fort Adisorn of the Cavalry Center in the capital district of Saraburi province and attended the parade of military and police troops showing allegiances on occasion of the coronation ceremony 2019 and the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day. Their Majesties the King and Queen were accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati.

His Majesty the King laid a platter of flowers, lit a candle and incense before a statuette of King Taksin the Great. His Majesty the King signed on a visit book at Pramon Phalasin Building and proceeded to the plaza ground of the Cavalry Center to view the parade of troops.

His Majesty the King stood on a royal convertible to view the parade of troops of the three armed forces and the police. Then, His Majesty the King proceeded to a royal pavilion and delivered a speech. Their Majesties the King and Queen and Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati stood up for salutes of the troops.

The Royal Thai Armed Forces Day is viewed as a historically, highly significant day of troops committed to bravery and devotion. January 18 marked King Naresuan the Great’s triumphant combat against Myanmar’s viceroy. The parade of allegiances is a sacred ceremony for all the troops.

This was the first parade of allegiances in the reign of King Rama X organized by the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Royal Thai Police in honor of His Majesty the King as the highest commander of the Thai armed forces. The parade of the troops showed their allegiances, abilities, unity, strengths, readiness and devotion to the monarch.
