BANGKOK(NNT) - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched a campaign to promote Healthier Choice New Year’s baskets.
Deputy FDA Secretary General, Dr Phullarp Chanthavichitravong, has followed up on the Healthier Choice New Year’s campaign at Makro discount store’s Nakhon In branch in Nonthaburi province.
It’s recommended that people look for food products which are well packaged, have nutritional value and carry Healthier Choice labels. Information about food products should be attached such as the name or category of each of the food products contained in a New Year’s basket and its manufacturing date or expiry date.
The labels containing such information about the food products to be handed out as New Year presents should not be removed so that the recipient can be informed of its quality and expiry date. Those who may wish to arrange a New Year’s present themselves should only choose food products which are healthy and nutritious, and take notice of the products expiry date.
