THAILAND (NNT) - Many provinces are now finalizing their Loy Krathong events. In Chiang Mai, one activity “Tam Phang Patitn Song Fa Hagsa Muang" has again been arranged to preserve Thai culture.

The "Tam Phang Patit Song Fa Fah Haksa Muang" activity is held at the city’s Three Kings Monument in order to worship the Lord Buddha and mark the arrival of the Yi Peng Festival in Chiang Mai. The event also features a Phang Patit dance performance by over 900 dancers. More than 50,000 lanterns are lit at night during the festival. People in Chiang Mai can participate in the activity every evening until November 12, 2019.

In Chanthaburi, Governor Withuraj Srinam led people this weekend to attend a volunteer activity to cleanup the Chanthaburi river from Chanthanaram Temple Pier to the Shrine of Sa Bap God and Tri Rat Bridge. Meanwhile, the volunteers also collected waste, eliminated weeds and improve the landscape along a canal to accommodate the public and tourists during the Loy Krathong Festival at Chanthanaram Temple.

In Khon Kaen, people in the Nong Yai community, Khon Kaen Municipality, have created Krathong baskets from natural materials available in the community for sale at the Loy Krathong Festival 2019 at Nong Yai Pond on the night of November 11, 2019, priced from 10 - 50 baht. They have been selling Krathong baskets for many years and earn more than 50,000 baht per year from the sale of their self-made Krathong baskets. The proceeds are donated to Siriwanna Wanaram Temple.
