BANGKOK, 12 July 2019 (NNT) - To enhance the competitiveness of new startup entrepreneurs, the National Innovation Agency (NIA) has joined the government and private agencies to organize Startup Thailand 2019, to strengthen the startups through learning from successful people.
Mr. Phan-arj Chaiyarat, NIA Director, said the global and Thai economic situations which are likely to slow further and affect the startup business, have caused this business group to expand a little, with 70 percent being investment from large companies. The startup entrepreneurs must also compete with others in the global market. The event will help enhance their potential and provide a new perspective for startup entrepreneurs. One fast-growing business group in 2019 - 2020 is the MAR Tech group which includes music, art and creative innovations because they match the Thai people’s lifestyle, as well as the medical and food technology group which still has a small representation in the startup business.
The highlight of the event is the presence of more than 200 world-famous speakers who will share their experiences, and create a meeting platform for investors. The event will be held from July 23 - 27, 2019 at nine different venues along the BTS and MRT routes such as the NIA, Chamchuri Square Building, The Emporium Department Store and Naplab on Chulalongkorn Soi 6.
