Public invited to join chanting ceremony

BANGKOK, 17 June 2019 (NNT) - Members of the public are invited to recite prayers for His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) and His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (Rama IX) and take part in a merit-making ceremony for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana .


His Majesty the King kindly allowed relevant agencies to hold the prayer chanting ceremony for His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol and His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and the merit-making ceremony for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. The religious event will take place at the Royal Plaza, Bangkok, at 5 p.m. on Thursday (June 20).


A golden Sukhothai-style Buddha image will be brought for the public to pay their respects on this occasion. Books of Buddhist prayers will also be distributed to the participants for the auspiciousness of the nation and its people. The activity is aimed at continuing Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s dedication to promoting dharma.


Members of the public are invited to join the grand religious ceremonies at the Royal Plaza this Thursday.
