BANGKOK, 31 July 2010 (NNT) — Ministry of Science and Technology has joined forces with 60 relevant public and private agencies on the launch of the National Science and Technology Fair 2010.
According to Minister of Science and Technology, Weerachai Weerametheekul, the National Science and Technology Fair 2010 is set to take place for 16 days during 7-22 August 2010 and takes up 40,000 square meters of space at the BITEC Bangna. The event will be Thailand’s largest event providing scientific knowledge, researches, and new innovations. Up to two million visitors are speculated to attend the event.
Activities will range from an exhibition in commemoration of His Majesty King Bhumibol who is honored as the “Father of Thai Science, Technology and Innovation”, a 4D film in simulation of the world disaster with the provision of a rescue ship for evacuation as well as various other exhibitions including biodiversity in the form of a large butterflies field and forest, light & laser to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the laser, robots, forensic science, and Tigers of China featuring live tigers from Sri Racha Tiger Zoo.
