BANGKOK, 31 July 2010 (NNT) — A special promotion has been launched by the Thailand Post in welcoming the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.
Marketing Communication Department Manager of the Thailand Post, Parisa Pananon disclosed on Saturday that a special promotion for the coming Ramadan months in 2010 had been organized by the Thailand Post as a bag of prunes would be given to each customer of such services as the online money order transaction and PAY @ POST, during 5 August-15 September 2010.
To welcome the celebration of Ramadan Festival, the ad-hoc promotion has been set up specially for Thai-Muslim and general customers of 36 post offices located in the southern border provinces of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat as well as two post Offices located in the district of Nong Chok and Minburi in Bangkok.
Nong Chok and Minburi post offices located in Bangkok’s largest Muslim community hub have been included in the 2010 promotion program following the program's success in 2008 and 2009, with more post offices lining to join the program in the forthcoming years. Prunes, however, are recognized as the healthy dietary after day long fast of Muslims during the Ramadan months.
