Suvarnabhumi airport shut down til Dec 3  
 
Mr. Serirat Prasutanond, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi International Airport, revealed on Monday (December 1) that the airport has informed all relevant parties in aviation industry that the Suvarnabhumi airport would be discontinued for an additional 48 hours until 6 pm on December 3.

The airport's extended shut down, said Mr. Serirat, also acting president of Airports of Thailand which owned Suvarnabhumi international airport, was due to anti-government People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD)'s protestors still seized the airport.
