Director of the Bureau of Information Technology under the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) Vinai Yusabai (ÇԹѠÍÂÙèʺÒÂ) stated that an email dispatched from the ICT to operators of popular teen social website Hi 5 has been met with compliance from the US. The email had asked the website to aid in the curbing of inappropriate material and material of a sexual nature, which is openly available to minors using the site.
The website’s executives have answered with their full cooperation. The ICT will nonetheless, continue to closely monitor the web address along with other targeted websites and is ready to take legal action against violators.
