In the auspicious event of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 60th birthday 2 April 2015, government agencies and the public are invited to put on Her Royal Highness' Personal Emblem Flag at office and residential buildings from today to 31 December 2015. The public is also invited to wear purple clothes and put on the emblem of Her Royal Highness in April for the entire month. The Prime Minister has voiced his support for the sustainable method in dealing with the agricultural produce pricing issue by educating the farmers, and develop a central produce market in each province. He has also clarified that the taxation of the heritable land is meant to distribute the land holding rights to a wider public, which the government will take care of the procedure in every aspect, and the policy will not increase the public’s burden.
It is the time for tax payers to submit application forms of Personal Income Tax Return (P.N.D.90/91). Income earners – be they individuals, groups of persons or non-juristic partnership with incomes earned from January to December 2014 are subjected to submit their applications at the Revenue Department within 31st March 2015 (on official working days and time). The Old Japan Students Association, Thailand (OJSAT) will setting up the ‘Japanese Tea’ Thai-Japan contemporary arts exhibition, displaying about 150 artworks from Thai and Japanese national artists from Tuesdays to Sundays starting 1 February until 8 March 2015 from 9:30am-9:00pm. Khao Yai National Park has cut its operating hours from 06.00-21.00 hrs. previously to 06.00-18.00 hrs. to curb risks of elephant attacks on tourists. In another short-term solution, pagers will be attached with elephants and CCTVs installed at different spots in order to observe the animals’ behavior. For a long-term solution, authorities will collaborate with elephant experts to further study the habit of elephants.

Surin’s Public Health Office warns locals to have themselves and children immunized with diphtheria-toxoid containing vaccine. First vaccination can be injected when newborn baby is 2-3 months old, followed by the second and third injections in every two months and concluding with last injection after a year. People are advised to stay away from diphtheria patients unless the latter are approved as non-diphtheria carriers.
Songkhla Province is to organize for the first time "Opening Gateway to ASEAN with Songkhla Bike Week” on January 30-31 at Chalathat Beach, in Mueang District. Around 3,000 cycling lovers in Thailand and from overseas are expected to participate in the campaign.
